Natural Joint pain relief - September 9th, 2009

Joint pain is something we all experience in our life time. Old or young, at some point we all have that occasional ‘Ouch’! Sometimes it is inflicted from an old injury, weather or vitamin deficiency.

Generally, the best way to rid of joint pain is to take a medication that eases the swelling of the joints; such as Advil or Alieve. But what about those, like my sister, that are sensitive to certain components in these medications? Surprisingly, Naproxen is something many people are allergic to and the reaction can be as severe as Anaphylactic- you stop breathing.

My point is, sometimes the best remedies are natural remedies. Not just natural medication either, I’m talking about remedies that can ease the joints by using heat or cold. For example; one way to ease the pain would be to soak in a hot bath. Or using topicals that heat to extinguish the pain. Another method can be using pressure points on different parts of the body that target that particular joint.

These are only a couple of examples; sometimes the pain can be quite severe that the only way to ease the pain is to pop a pill. If this is what you must do, then do so. But also remember there are some natural medications such as Flax Seed that can assist and possibly help more rather than using the typical Advil.
