Humira Review

A knitting or crafting party isn’t nearly as fun when you are suffering from joint swelling and pain. If your arthritis, psoriasis or other auto-immune condition has taken away the joy you used to get from your favorite hobbies Humira may be the perfect answer for you.

Humira claims to be able to cure all of your joint and inflammation problems with their special joint formula. Let’s take a closer look and see what Humira can do for you.

Humira Specifications

Humira is specially formulated with a blocker for the human tumor necrosis factor (TNF). This TNF works to prevent further bone and joint damage and help in your ability to perform daily activities.

It is especially helpful for those suffering from rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn’s disease, Ankylosing Spondylitis and Psoriasis. If you have one of these conditions and feel you may benefit from Humira injections you should contact your physician, as it is only available with a prescription.

Humira costs nearly $2,000 per injection. However, many insurance companies offer at least partial coverage. Check with your insurance company for more information.

How Safe is Humira?

There are some side-effects associated with short term use of Humira and the long term usage effects are currently under study. However, early reports indicate that there may be some positive correlation between Humira and certain types of cancer.

Other side-effects with short term usage include: redness, itching, bruising, pain, or swelling at the injection site, stomach pain, nausea, headache and back pain.

Additionally, the following more serious side-effects are possible, but extremely rare: numbness or tingling, impaired vision, weakness in limbs, chest pain, rash, new joint pain, hives/itching, swelling of face, feet, ankles or lower legs, difficulty breathing or swallowing, fever, sore throat, chills (signs of infection), unusual bruising or bleeding, paled skin, dizziness and red, scaly or pus-filled bumps on the skin.

If you experience any of these side-effects you should immediately contact your physician.

My chiropractor rmomceended this brand specifically. I have been taking two per day for a few months and have noticed a huge improvement in preventing my chronic hip/back pain. It took about 6 weeks or so for it to make a difference, but it really helps. I definitely plan to stay with this brand though I have not tried others, no need to the benefit is worth the price. I don’t want to risk having to start over if a cheaper brand doesn’t work out.
