Arthritis And Eczema

Arthritis has been suffered by many and yet understood by few. Many talk about being “too young” for arthritis, and others talk about it being a number of things with a number of major misconceptions. Arthritis is many things, and it does not cover all joint pain. But you can get both osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. There are different treatment options. But there’s a reason why it has actually been connected to multiple things.

Arthritis, regardless of type, is actually an auto immune disorder. So while most use pain medication and other conventional methods of action, there are some who actually use immunosuppressants. It is more common in the elderly population. But it is not exclusive to that. Even small children could suffer from arthritis in some cases. But it has been seen in high prevalence coupled with other autoimmune disorders, including eczema. Many find that when the immune system attacks one part of the body, it does not limit itself. It attacks multiple parts causing multiple problems ranging from asthma and allergies to eczema to arthritis to other problems like Crohn’s disease or Celiac disease in extreme cases.

Interestingly enough however, some of the treatments are also the same. Obviously, with eczema, you normally want to use something like cortisone or another moisturizer or anti inflammatory. That is the obvious choice. But there are other natural approaches that address both. For example, they have found that chondroitin and glucosamine have been known to obviously rebuild joints and help you to reduce joint pain and arthritis related problems.

But they have also found that chondroitin and glucosamine can rebuild skin cells while simultaneously reducing inflammation. It can therefore help you to get rid of dry patches, darkening patches, peeling, weeping, and other problems that have been common to eczema. It has been one of the most effective treatments for problems with eczema, even though it is not normally recognized for that.

When it comes to arthritis and eczema, they walk hand in hand more often than most would think. They are recurring problems that work together, and yet they can also often be treated together. These problems can compound each other. There are certainly some that are worse. But it’s worth looking into the options to tackle both problems at once.
